Dock Enabled Rooms
All classrooms in the School are now upgraded to USB-C and wireless projection capabilties. This allows any device with a modern USB-C port to use a single cable to connect to the ICT equipment at the front of the room.
Quick Start Guide
- Turn on the projector
- Make sure its input is set to HDMI-1 (if you see Windows + K then its on the wrong input!)
- Plug in the USB-C cable into your device
- Close the lid of your device
- Use the monitor, keyboard and mouse at the front of the classroom as normal
- If needed press Windows + P to select duplicate or extend if you do not have a picture on the projector or monitor.
- Click on the audio icon in the bottom right and choose casio as the sound device
Once Docked
Your device can now see and use all of the equipment in the classroom, this includes: The monitor, projector, speakers, mouse, keyboard, webcam and microphone.
Your device will also charge rapidly whilst connected to the dock as well as receive a faster network connection!
Troubleshooting Audio Issues
Please see the Classroom AV Guide for common audio issues as well as the Teams setup guide for Teams specific audio problems
Three Screens is better than Two?
You can use your surface screen at the same time as the monitor and the projector however this does require some advanced skills to configure the monitors each time so will take some practice to get used to
A full guide on working with the three monitors whilst docked is on its way, in the mean time please see the following guide for general multiple monitor help:
