Moving Windows Around
Having more than one screen significantly improves productivity and allows an endless amount of new options for how you work, especially when working with Teams and sharing your screen. Knowing how to use multiple monitors effectively can make a huge difference to your working day.
Dragging and Snapping Windows
Step 1 - Click and drag on the title of any open window to move it around.
Step 2 - Click and drag to the top of your monitor to make it full screen
Step 3 - Click and drag it down to bring it out of full screen
Step 4 - Click and drag it to the far right or left of your screen to make it snap to half your monitor
The video below shows me performing all of the above on a single screen
Moving Windows between monitors
If you're monitors are setup correctly you can use the same steps as above to drag a window from one monitor to another. With some practice you can quickly move programs to whichever screen suits you best.
During a teams meeting I have my main monitor running the teams meeting and the second screen for sharing with others or for opening documents i need during the meeting.
The video below shows me dragging a window from one monitor to another and back again.
