Accessing OneDrive

OneDrive is the name for Microsofts online file storage platform.  Your OneDrive is your personal storage space that you can access on any computer, anywhere in the world.

Any files on your old User Drive are now stored on OneDrive.  Your Desktop, Documents, Pictures and more are all now online.

There are many ways that you can now access your files now they are online.

Use File Explorer on a School Computer

Whenever you login to a School Computer, your desktop, documents, pictures, videos, downloads and music folders will all automatically be connected to OneDrive.  Simply save to these folders as normal and they will be automatically synced online.

Any files stored in OneDrive will appear with a small cloud icon next to them.  Whenever you access them for the first time, the computer will download a copy to the computer and then re-upload it automatically once you are finished.

You can also access your whole one drive folder by opening file explorer and clicking on "OneDrive - Badminton School"

The first time you login to a computer it may take 2-3 minutes before your OneDrive files and desktop/documents connect.

Using Teams on any computer

If you have Teams installed, you can access your OneDrive and other recent files quickly and easily.  Simply click on the Files tab, and then click on OneDrive.  This is my personal favorite and keeps things nice and simple.

Using a web browser on any computer

Using any modern web browser, you can navigate to https://badmintonschool-my.sharepoint.com/ to go straight to your OneDrive, or you can login at Office.com then click on the OneDrive icon.

Using the OneDrive client

For the more advanced out there, you can install the OneDrive client and then sign in with your School email address and password.  This will keep a copy of your OneDrive on your computer and keep it synced up with the cloud automatically.
