Finding Files Quickly
We are all very busy people, often in a meeting or a lesson you need files quickly. Use the list below or watch the video for our top tips on how to find that file quickly no matter where its stored! Especially useful for files shared with you from locations you don't have access to!
Using OneDrive or SharePoint Search
Step 1 - Open OneDrive or click on this link: https://badmintonschool-my.sharepoint.com/
Step 2 - Use the search bar at the top of the page then click Show More Results
Step 3 - Review the list and click on the relevant item. Note the location column that shows you where the file is located to help next time.
If you are searching for a folder you use regularly, why not sync it to your local computer for easy access next time!
Using Word, Excel or PowerPoint
Step 1 - Open up Word, Excel or PowerPoint depending on what the file is you want to find
Step 2 - Check the list of recent files to see if the file you want is already listed there
Step 3 - If it isn't, use the search bar just above
Using Teams
Step 1 - Click on the Files button in the left side of Teams
Step 2 - Review the list of recent files
Step 3 - If its not there, you can always use the Search bar at the top of teams at any time
