OneDrive Sync Status

To keep all your files up to date and synchronised with the cloud it is important to keep an eye on the status of the OneDrive client on your computer.  If this has an error, logs you out or crashes your changes will not be uploaded and will be stuck on the computer you did it on only!

Finding the OneDrive client Icon

On a PC, you should see a blue OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, at the far right of the taskbar.

You might need to click the Show hidden icons arrow next to the notification area to see the OneDrive icon.

If the icon doesn't appear in the notification area, OneDrive might not be running. Select Start, type OneDrive in the search box, and then select OneDrive in the search results.

Check the status of OneDrive

A blue icon shows that everything is healthy and you can carry on with your day, shut down the computer knowing all your work is safe.
