Analysis

This new and in development report is designed to show per subject or teacher any significant difference or deviation from the baseline data so that anomalies or any significant under/over performance can be identified early.  It can also provide a good insight into whether any particular subject is being overly generous or harsh when entering grades compared to baseline data.

Latest Basedata Predictions

For every pupil taking the subject, this takes the latest available baseline data and takes the average of that subject.  If there are 5 pupils taking Art and they are predicted A*, A, B, C & D then the average grade will be a B.

Latest Grades

Just like the baseline data, we take all the most recent grades given to the pupils from school reporting data for each subject.  We then show the average for each grade type and the standard deviation of those grades.  Ideally these would match exactly the baseline data predictions for each subject.

Difference

This is the most important section and is the most useful.

For each girl in each subject, it takes the latest grade we have, compares it to the latest baseline data prediction for that girl and produces the difference.  Think of it as the sum of all the progress tracking data for each subject.

A number of 1 means that on average each girl taking that subject is performing 1 whole grade above her baseline predicted grade.  A number of -2 would mean on average they are two grades below predicted and this could be a serious concern.

Standard Deviation

These column takes all the grades from the averages and then calculates the standard deviation of those grades. This is especially important for highlighting groups that could have a good average grade but have wildly varying grades within the group. A number of 1 roughly correlates to an average difference of 1 grade from the group average. A high number means a wildly varying group.
