Useful Tools During a Meeting

Show Participants

During any meeting you can click on show participants to quickly view a list of everyone in the meeting, who has yet to join and check their video/microphone status.

Show Conversation

Every meeting has a full chat function built in, this can be used very effectively especially during busy meetings to allow people to raise questions or implement a hands up style approach to interrupting the meeting.

Note that blur background is only available in the full version of Teams and certain devices might not have the correct hardware to enable it.

Blur or Change your Background

Sometimes it can be beneficial to blur or change your background to hide the room behind you.  This can remove noise and focus the meeting on you instead.  From 14/4/2020 Teams also now allows you to add a custom background.
