Non-Contact Parent Procedure

In certain circumstances there are parents that should not be contacted by the School but we will still hold their information on iSAMS.  This will only normally be due to a court order authorising the parent to not have any contact with their child.

It is of absolute priority that the following procedures are followed to avoid a potentially catastrophic breach of safeguarding.

Step 1 - Separate the record

The parent in question must have a separate record from the other parent.  If they are currently stored as parents they must be split into Father and Mother.  All trace of each parent must be removed from the other record.  i.e. father has no information about the mother and visa-versa.

Step 2 - Change the relationship type to Non-Contact

In order to make it extremely obvious and avoid details being pulled into other systems, the parent must have their relationship changed to start with Non-Contact.  e.g. Non-Contact Father, Non-Contact Mother etc...

Step 3 - tick the box under the contact type that says Contact Only

Step 4 - Disable or delete any iSAMS logins for that parent

In the iSAMS control panel, double check that that parent does not have any login registered for its email address, if so delete or disable the account.
