8th - 9th November - Fireworks and Cupcake Decorating

8th November - Fireworks

On Friday, it was bonfire night the school celebrated with fireworks. Along with letting the students set up little stalls in the Peace Memorial Hall and setting up a booth outside the dining hall. There were all kinds of food and drinks that makes your mouth water, like cupcakes, cotton candy, toffee apple, lemonade, popcorn, etc. Personally, I think the cupcake was the best. There were also stalls that let you make/design your own bag and give yourself temporary tattoos or face paint. It was a magical night with glitter everywhere. The fireworks were the cherry on top, Olivia and I have never seen fireworks this close before and it was amazing, you could feel the floor shake a bit and hear the loud boom when the fireworks went off. The different colours and shapes of the fireworks made it even better. Overall the night was a blast even though we had to stand in the cold it was worth it.

9th November - Cupcake Decorating

On Saturday 9th November, Sanderson House held a cupcake decorating competition. The year 9's, with a few year 10's and 11's, were split into two classes, one group with Miss Stewart and another with Miss Stolz. Miss Stewart and Miss Stolz made chocolate cupcakes with butter cream and chocolate icing.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed their cupcake making and decorating, their cupcakes tasted delightful and were so well presented that Miss Stewart and Miss Stolz are currently picking a winner for the best cupcakes!
