Sanderson Christmas Party and Year 9 Baking
Sanderson has had a very exciting weekend, marking the start of the Christmas Season with the much anticipated, annual Christmas Party. This year it was held in the Sports Centre, which allowed the Year 11’s to be more creative with their planning. They created a beautiful party atmosphere with balloons, fairy lights and a photo wall. Everyone in house dressed up in their best outfits and started the night in the marquee by having pizza and snacks.
“I loved having the treat of pizza in the marquee!” – Pearl, Year 9.
They then made their way over to the Sports Hall where Secret Santa presents were opened, and the true party began. Lots of games were played, including Santa’s Present Dash, Musical Chairs, Pass the Parcel and a Staff Trivia Kahoot.
“The night was extremely entertaining and I had lots of fun!” – Kristina, Year 10.
Lots of fun was had by all years and even the staff joined in for a boogie at the end of the night.
“I liked the atmosphere that was created by all the year groups coming together. The effort that was put in by the Year 11’s was immaculate!” – Julia, Year 11.
The Christmas Committee did an amazing job of organising and running the night, and all the hard work paid off.
“Thank you to the Year 11’s for putting so much effort into making the party fun, I really enjoyed it!” – Chloe C, Year 9.
Sunday afternoon was filled with more fun with a session of baking. The F and N room smelt amazing as the chocolate chip cookies were baked. Those who took part had a fun afternoon, and even had a boogie to some music whilst the goodies were in the oven. The cookies must have been amazing as most were eaten on the way back to house!
“It was so nice to do something different, and the cookies were really good!” – Bernice, Year 9.
As usual, Sunday evening was spent getting ready for the week ahead.
