Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 is a huge ecosystem of interconnected, web based applications that have many benefits over traditional local file storage and applications. It can be a very daunting and confusing place at first but you can start small and as your confidence grows, experiment with more advanced applications.
As a general rule the following steps will allow you to gradually get used to office 365 and ease you into the systems:
- Learn how to access the Office 365 home page on any computer
- Use Office 365 to check your emails
- Review the best practice on where to create and store files.
- Begin creating and storing files in OneDrive
- Start sharing documents from OneDrive with others so you can collaborate together.
- Experiment with Forms to gather data or take surveys
- Try the To-Do app instead of post it notes and lists on paper
- Setup OneNote so you can take quick meeting notes and store them efficiently
- Start investigating Teams/Sharepoint as a way of pooling files and resources together into once place so your whole team or department.
