Schedule a meeting on Teams

Step 1 - Click on the calendar icon in the left bar of Teams and then click on New meeting in the top right corner

Step 2 - Give your meeting a meaningful title

Step 3 - Add required attendees in one of two ways:

Option A - Type each persons name individually and add them one at a time

Option B - Leave the attendees black and use the Add channel option to meet "in a channel".  This will automatically invite everyone in that team/channel to the meeting and make sure all the chat and files shared are also available to the team after the meeting

Step 4 - Set the time, date and optional repeat for the meeting

Step 5 - Give the meeting a nice description.  This could be the agenda for the meeting or instructions for attendees.  Everyone in the meeting will see this before, during and after the meeting.

Step 6 - Click Save, it should now show up in your calendar.

Note that at busy times it might take a couple of minutes for everyone to receive the invite and for the meeting to be confirmed. During that time the meeting will be greyed out in your calendar.
